Not a thread about our man Lambone...Sorry, brotha, but we're pullin for ya.

OT? Not climbing? It better be good...

Look like fun? Nah. (Bwahaha!!!) Fandango frame with DC-9 package by MTB Tandems in GA. Alum frame, 29er, White Bros fork, hydraulic disk. I was nearly relieved to have a storm nix our new year's eve wall plans. Eight rides in the last three weeks. Local trails in Woods Cyn, Laguna Beach and a few trails in the Phoenix area. No injuries (body armor) or broken parts so far. We've done terrain just as technical on this bike as I've ever done on a single. Wanna see some smiles on the trail? Hehehe.

MTB Tandems has changed the game with the Fandango. 29er mt tandems are not in any sort of off-the-shelf production that I know of aside from these. You can get into one for 4G, and for this gear, that's way cheap.

Hoo-ah! Let's ride! Fuggit, we're going anyway...

Scary for her, Caz...I can see! We do use vocal commands, tho.

No Joplin R seat post available for that tube size, boohoo. See if we can make a GravityDrop work. Dammitall, those Crank Bros make some wicked gear.

San Juan Trail this weekend, the full loop (we hope?). 20+ mi of singletrack bliss. As long as she's into it...

BTW, while we're OT, Caz, ya working in Costa Mesa? I see a black Magnum in the lot all the time.

No work there. been hanging out with hangin with Jorge at his place a bit. We've been cycling a bunch getting ready for a century ride we plan on doing next month. Also trying to get in shape to get on the Captin' finally this season!

I've also seen another black Magnum with my rims on it around...

No clipless pedals, even - a brave man indeed!

Almost as odd as the time someone tried their recumbent on the downhill course here (they didn't make it very far)

Bigtime ankle issues here, K. Don't think I'll ever be able to get out of a clipless as fast as I can a cage. Still looking for the ideal pedal; tired of chasing those teeny Deores on uphill starts. But I'll prolly never lose the cage clips. And I absolutely gotta be able to buzz over to the liquor store or bball courts in tennies.

If any of my rat brothers wanna ride in SoCal, we'll be on the circuit all winter. Catalina Isl included. Hitting the San Juan lollipop this weekend.

Hold down the walls for me lads.

The ideal pedal? Big meaty BMX flats with sharpened spikes - wear 'em with approach shoes for even better traction.

Clipless pedals are scary  :)

nice, I've got reversables, clip ins on one side, flatish with spikes on the other. bit heavy, but so am I.  as they say, just ride, don't buy light product because you could take a dookie that weighs more than 1000 dollars worth of bike gear.

Thanks for the pedal suggestions. munge, sounds like what we have on back, clipless/rattrap. YAD, I'm leaning that way. Once I get pissed off enough I'll make a move.

Ride #9. We did San Juan trail on Saturday, wow. A bit too much hikeabike up for my taste, but a great workout. 3K' total el gain in 20 mi. The lolly section just past Cocktail Rock was the most technical long (400'?) bit we've done. We stuck it, but stepped off for a couple of high penalty sections elsewhere. And some tight switchbacks, obviously.

Much bigger upper body workout on this bike compared to a road tandem or single MTB. Super core burner. Holding the line with 105 lbs of cargo takes some effort. Went plastic pulling after weeks without and got some stuff I couldn't before.

Next weekend, OOOOOHHHH!
