Here's a lesson is footwear sizing pic.

Also Munge, You had a thread somewhere, I forget where, looking for patterns in photos.
I have spent the last year and a half compiling photos of that topic from around the west,
I just cannot find the thread. Do you remember it?

It's for this reason I don't size my my shoes screaming tight, there are a lot of ugly looking
feet around the base of most sport crags.

Curious.. what kind of patterns?

Well Kevin went and posted a pic of my fat a$$, so I guess I should post one showing his skinny butt cleaning a roof we set o route on last Sunday:

Notice the splint on his left hand... I'll post the mummy-like tape flapping in the wind "after" shot when I find my sync cord.

Every photo has a story..

You may notice an absence of gear above me. Somehow...  Brenden the Scotsman (not normally known for their great stature)  managed
to top-step and place the next piece so high that I was just barely able to clip it. It wasn't due to a lack of reach on my part (4.5" ape index),
rather the 2 workable fingers protruding from my splinted hand weren't enough to hold myself with while leaning back and stretching waaaay
out there. A couple of gimpy looking sort of dnyos and I finally got it. This photo is somewhat deceiving. though..
It was actually overhanging.

Here's one looking up from the belay,  (sorry Brenden, another butt shot)
Just below where Brenden is thrashing and dangling, You can see the the gap between pieces where  I was trying to clip.

BTW skully, sweet shot of Asgard.

Lies! All lies!  With all the photos you took, I know you have one that shows the reach and is NOT a butt shot.

Gettin' close to maxxed out....Well, maybe you could get 1 more biner through.......maybe.
Oh, BTW....pretty good thrashing & dangling. WAY easier to watch than to perform. ;-)

That and the helicopters flying around all day with the search and rescue drill gave it a "high intensity" flair.... as you can tell we were enjoying ourselves.

Twenty years ago this Spring. . . . . Final pitch of the Nose. Note that (ahem) 'confident' smile for the camera.
